The semi-formal birthday party went amazing. Thanks god, I wasn't wearing the wrong thing but...I was the only 'shorty' there. Everyone was wearing high heels while I was the only one wearing flat ballerinas.
But hey, I wasn't the total only one. There was that girl Sarah who was wearing an orange pair, which I though looked amazing on her since her skin is so fair and her hair is light brown. I imagine how would I look if I wore orange: Awful! It can work sometimes, only if it was mixed somehow with something blue or green. I am a little bit tanned so if I try wearing an Orange dress/shirt/shorts/shoes I'll look like a nice plat of 'Canard aux oranges'.
Plus there was that hot guy I was eyeing from time to time. Not like he ever noticed me or something. But anyway, this is a free country and everybody has the right to 'look' or 'watch' or whatever.
Being short...Such a nightmare. If I was tall, I wouldn't need to wear high heels. I could be...Umm..5'4 or something? So short! I know! But it felt awful to be the only 'shorty' in town. Well, the only shorty beside Sarah. But still, it felt awful.
I wanted to go back home and yell at my mom 'WHY DIDN'T YOU TEACH ME TO WALK WITH HIGH HEELS?! I WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY RIGHT NOW!'
But I lat it go and started relaxing when I noticed that everybody started complaining about their swollen heels. My feet hurt too, I don't usually wear ballerinas...I'm more of a sneakers' girl.
My problem is... I can't, absolutely can't, walk with high heels. I remember the first time I've tried my aunt's. And guess what the result was?
ME + HIGH HEELS = BROKEN SHOES, TWISTED ANKLE & AN ANGRY AUNT
And since then I've never wanted to try them again. I wish I could just accept my height *sighs*. I mean, some guys think it's cute when girls are short but c'mon! Not this short, not a fourteen-years-old girl who's 5'4!
The newly-added thing on my to-do list this summer: Learn to walk with high heels (truly important).
